What is GIS?
GIS stands for Geographic Information Systems. GIS is an organized collection of computer hardware, software, geographic data and personnel designed to efficiently capture, store, update, manipulate, analyze and display all forms of geographically referenced information.
MCAG has been developing and using GIS since 1986. The purpose for MCAG's GIS programs are to provide the member agencies throughout Atwater, Dos Palos, Gustine, Livingston, Los Banos, Merced and Merced County with the most current and accurate parcel level planning information.

Message from MCAG's GIS Program Manager:
July 22, 2008: MCAG's GIS website (www.mcaggis.com) has recieved a makeover to more closely match MCAG's home page (www.mcagov.org). We have added the functionality for City and County staff to "log in" to access more detailed infomation about property. If you would like access, please contact Rich Green or Natalia Austin. We are also currently working on adding Transportation Projects to the website. Thank you for your patience.
